Sarah Luick
President, Board of Directors

Independent Voting Member, 2020

Sarah Luick is a recently retired MA State Administrative Law Judge with over 35 years of service. She received her law degree from Suffolk Law School. During these same 35 years, she served on the Board of the Animal Legal Defense Fund as it grew the now thriving field of animal law in the United States. She was involved in animal law conferences and talks. She often served as a judge at the animal law moot court and closing argument competitions.

Having previously served on the NEAVS Board for 20 years, Sarah is proud of what NEAVS/Rise for Animals has accomplished. Sarah is also on the Boards of the Massachusetts Animal Coalition and the Massachusetts based CEASE (Citizens to End Animal Suffering and Exploitation). A long-time resident of Boston, Sarah enjoys spoiling her older rescue dog, Lolly.

“I am thrilled to be on the Rise for Animals Board.  While celebrating NEAVS’ important history, I look forward to building on that foundation with new initiatives that expose and educate the public about the harsh animal suffering in research and testing while educating about the advantages of alternative testing and research methods.  The time has come to end this use of animals.”
