Emily Peterson joined NEAVS in May 2019 as a policy fellow. She conducts research, works on data collection and organization, and creates reports to assist NEAVS in the effort to end the use of animals in research, testing, and science education.
Emily graduated from College of the Atlantic with a B.A. in Human Ecology in 2015. She is currently working towards her Master’s of Science in Anthrozoology from Canisius College, where she is studying the relationship and interactions between humans and nonhuman animals. Emily has interned with Animal Welfare Institute and Humane Society of the United States, and is a cetacean campaign blog contributor for In Defense for Animals.
